The shortest route to Jagungal involves a 38km hike.

It is a seven hour round trip to Mount Alice Rawson from the Crackenback chairlift. (This time includes lunch etc.) Total distance is 24km. Mt Townsend is a two and one half hour rapid hike from the chairlift. Alice Rawson from Mt Townsend. The Sentinel and Watsons Crags, view down to the Geehi and a panorama of the Main Range.

Photos from a camping trip to Wilkinson's Valley, Christmas 2005. This valley is surrounded by Australia's highest mountains - (numbers 1, 2 ,5, 8, 9, 10..). Strangely many are unamed! Here is my list. It's not really possible to explore this place unless you plan a muti-day camping trip. Perhaps that is why is is rarely mentioned in hiking books.
