Perfect campsite for my Bibler.
Townsend granite, near Abbott saddle.
Sunset view down Wilkinsons Valley and the south ridge of Abbotts peak.
I set out before breakfast to hike up Townsend and Abbotts. The overnight temperature in my tent was -9C, but still no snow.
The sweeping treeless valleys are waiting for this year's snow.
The valley floor is covered with frost.
From Townsend I look down on Abbott.
